Hi, my name is Rebecca Yewande Ladipo and I am 15 years old. I am currently attending Featherstone High School and looking forward to working with you and helping you to voice your opinions and concerns.
I love to work with young people. I am out going and easy to get along with. When it comes to helping the young I give 110% in order to do my best and do not give up without a result or change. Ever since I was 7, I wondered where my passion for the youth would take me and now I realise how it can benefit London Borough of Ealing.
Just like every 15 year old I have my own hobbies. I love to sing, dance and play netball. My favourite singer is Beyonce, I also travel a lot with my family. I have been to Atlanta, New York, France, Nigeria, Spain and many more places.
What I am doing right now
I am in my final year taking my GCSE. I am juggling schoolwork, being your Youth Mayor and the many extra curricular activities such as netball, football, street dance, taking part in The Noise (a community cohesion group), GT (Gifted and Talented) religious education and music.
My family and inspiration
I have an older sister and brother and a younger brother. My older brother inspires me the most. He went through a difficult path in life yet he was able to come out of it and found success becoming a person for others to look up to. Music is something that runs through my family. I started singing at the age of 6 on my brother's song, as he is a rapper. My older sister used to perform in concerts with her band and my little brother has started to rap and is following after my older brother's footsteps.
