What young people said

Leanne Stevens, 21 "I'm a V Talent volunteer - I enjoy the responsibility and
learn quite a lot I do a lot of sewing and am making a gown for Indian kids who
are going to have an operation. I've got a learning disability so am not very good on paper but better on the practical side."

Ryan Windross, 19 "Sometimes I bring my bass guitar down and have a bit of a
jam session. My heroes are Jimi Hendrix and Slipknot. It gives me something to
do coming here. I get involved in the cooking and have also made a backing
track in the studio."

Naoise Nolan, 20 "There are four of us in the additional needs group and I've
been coming along for five years. I baked cakes for the fashion show last week
and it was great to see everyone eating them. My favourite things about the
project are talking to people and playing football and snooker."

Steven Tiller, 16 "I come here on a Wednesday and Friday and make new
mates. I do cooking and sewing and I've just made a waistcoat. We had to model
it ourselves on the catwalk at the fashion show, which was cool."
