Northolt and Greenford SNT's go fishing with the locals
Mick Watson - GHOF founder said "It was a great experience working in Ealing and the partnership approach was no different from when I started the project back in 2000, I am looking forward to working with many more children in Ealing in the near future".
Insp. Dominic Lemonde from Northolt Cluster SNT said: "This is the start of breaking down barriers with the youngsters on our ward. It will provide a safe and productive environment leading to a positive future for kids who otherwise may underachieve or fall foul of the law. We look forward to working with all our partners to ensure this project is a success".
PS Ahmed Abouzaid from Northolt West End Ward said: "The National Get Hooked on Fishing project was started by an ex Police officer in Durham to embrace children that were either regularly getting into trouble with the police or on the verge of doing so, they teach children a new hobby, namely fishing, and also mentor them providing them with essential life skills it is a privilege to have this very effective diversionary project on my ward”.
