Youth Parliament election
If you live, study or work in the Borough of Ealing, and are between 11-19 years old, you van vote in the UK Youth Parliament Election!
Voting will be taking place between the 8 - 14 February. You could vote via email or in person.
Please take the following steps prior to emailing your form.
- Reading the candidates' manifestos below. These will give you an idea about each of the different candidates ideas and strengths.
- Downloading the Ballot paper in WORD; pdf.
- Completing the Ballot paper in full and save it onto your computer.

Alternatively, you can pop in to Town Hall on Ealing Broadway from the 9 - 12 February every day between 4pm - 7pm and vote in person!

- Improve relationships between police services, community officers and youths.
Manvir Aulakh
Hello, my name is Manvir Aulakh and I am running for UK Youth Parliament. If you vote for me I will:
- Voice your opinions to the best of my ability and in doing so let you make your own choice.
- Create a newspaper for the youth of Ealing. It will highlight activities and news of what is happening to the world around you.
- Make suggestions for new places to see and places to go, so you don’t get bored and be able to have more freedom.

If you vote for me I will:
- Try to lower the University tuition fees
- Create better and more job opportunities and ensure that young people have the right skills and life attitude by having jobs.
- Promote and improve Government policy to ensure internet safety and security.
Allaan Heewa
If you vote for me I will:
- Introduce halal food in school canteens.
- Improve awareness of Ealing’s youth social clubs and improve facilities in the clubs.
- Improve awareness of careers advisors in schools to help youths have an idea of what they would like to do in the future.

If you vote for me I will:
- Get your problems and ideas heard to the right people.
- I will offer more youth clubs and after school activities.
- I will introduce summer camps for children of all ages, if they want to learn a special skill.
Akash Kamboj
If you vote for me I will:
- Make sure that I am in regular contact with young people via youth clubs and school, this will mean that your voice is heard and the changes you want to take place will be heard on a local, regional and national level.
- No matter how big or small I will ensure that you will be able to contact me in may forms, this allows me to keep up to date with issue that affect YOU!
- I believe that I have what it takes to put Ealing on the map. Your voice will be heard. Your changes will take place. And this will only happen if I am elected as your MYP.
Beckie Maynard
If you vote for me I will:
- Improve job opportunities for young people. Having a job as a teenager is great on so many levels - great experience, looks good on UCAS and helps you make some extra cash too! However, as a young person it’s really hard to find one. I want to find a way of creating and advertising jobs for young people.
- Improve street lighting in the area to make you feel safe.
- But most importantly; I want to be able to represent the views of young people and work on things you need improved. The views of young people aren’t well enough represented at this point and I want to change this.
Lilit Movsisyan
If you vote for me I will:
- Seek out your views and use all my might to make the changes you’ve been waiting for.
- Campaign to make recycling easier and reduce energy waste in schools.
- Help set up more extracurricular groups, specific to your needs and levels.
Seywash Nabeziada
If you vote I will:
- There should be more youth centres, so teenagers are off the streets and going to the youth centres, preventing any crime in which they might be involved.
- There should also be extra help for those students to achieve a better qualification and have a good future.
- Also I would get more buses on school times as there are loads of students, to keep the area not busy, so there will be more buses.
Sumriti Sharma
If you vote for me I will:
- Safety: more CCTV around for people’s safety; Police tackling drug and drinking problems; more police around at night for safety on the streets.
- Improving schools, colleges and other youth organisations by putting more benches in the playground; more lockers in schools; and more activities for youths in schools.
- Environment: plant more trees; more material recycling bins; more bins on streets so people don’t litter.
Aniqah Sheikh
If you vote for me I will:
- Ensure that all of your opinions and enquiries are dealt with effectively, efficiently and consistently.
- Campaign to ensure equality amongst all individuals, irrelevant of race, creed, colour, gender or social class in all areas of the borough.
- Tackle issues in educational institutions, such as bullying and discrimination, both, between students and teachers, as well as students themselves.
