We here at Westside Radio 89.6FM would like to tell you about an exciting
project that is taking place at the station. Firstly here is a little bit of
information about the station: Westside Radio is based in Southall and
covers the West London area on the FM frequency. The station has the
potential coverage of around 1.6million people. Boris Johnson opened the
station last year and we have many celebrities come to the station on a
regular basis like Estelle, Jay Sean, Raghav and other celebs from shows
like The Apprentice and Big Brother.
Our community programmes broadcast every weekday, 2 - 4 pm and are an avenue
through which various topics can be discussed and debated. We have a team
various people from various organisations involved with the shows and we
have room for plenty more.
The Community shows are a wonderful portal through which local groups and
organisations can have their say and even effect change on an enormous
variety of issues including education, health, politics, community issues,
motivation, arts/culture, policing/crime, environment and a host of other
issues that affect all of us in the local area as a whole.
The hosts of the Show's are Carla Battisti and Leanne Grose. The show has
amazing potential and although ideas are flowing in about how we could
utilize the show we need to increase its exposure and get more groups and
organisations involved in order to truly get to the core of the issues that
are affecting the local community the most and provide them with information
and content they want to hear about.
The great thing is that if your organisations are working on exciting
community projects we can also get them exposure through the show, which
will give you even greater recognition for the work you are doing. To begin
with we would like to offer your organisation the opportunity to become a
regular slot on the show and the opportunity to invite guests to talk about
issues that you believe should be addressed within the your chosen topics.
The presenters are well trained and talented interviewers and presenters who
will run the show to a high quality broadcast standard.
