Speak Out, 2008 youth conference

"A good day had by all!"

Ealing Youth Action organised the event with the support of Youth and Connexions' Participation staff. Like Speak Out, 2007, this conference provided an opportunity for young people, members, senior council staff and partner agencies to come together to discuss and debate key issues raised by young people in the borough.

The key theme of the day was Community Cohesion. Discussions and debates centred on environment, employment and education, community safety, health and youth activities. These important issues raised from the above discussions will be taken forward and actioned by EYA in partnership with local councillors, senior members and directors of Ealing Council.

Young people treated the audience with a range of interesting presentations of their work and showcase of dance and singing.

Young people gave www.youngealing.co.uk a test drive and provided invaluable advice.
