Family planning/contraceptive clinics

All clinics provide
  • The combined pill ('the pill')
  • The progestogen only pill (mini pill)
  • Injectable contraception
  • Intrauterine devices (IUDs, coils) 
  • Intrauterine systems (IUS)
  • Emergency contraception (pills up to 72 hours after unprotected sex or IUD up to 5 days after unprotected sex)
  • Contraception patches or cap
  • The diaphragm or cap
  • Male and female condoms
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Referral for abortion & support around unwanted pregnancy
  • Post-abortion checks
  • Cervical smear tests for women attending for contraception
  • Pre-pregnancy (conceptual) advice
  • Advice about sexual health and sexually transmitted infection prevention
