Emotional Health and Wellbeing Personal Adviser

The Emotional Health and Well-being personal adviser (PA) offers young people aged 13-19 a non-judgemental and confidential one to one listening service at The Ealing Connexions One Stop Shop Tuesday’s and Wednesday 1-5pm. You can either call to book in advance or drop-in at the One Stop Shop to talk to the PA about anything that you’re not coping with or anything that is getting you down.

Some of the issues the PA might be able to help you with are:

  • Exam stress
  • Family issues
  • Stress
  • Self- esteem
  • Bullying
  • Lack of motivation
  • Feeling low
  • Feeling stuck
  • Bereavement (loosing someone close to you)
  • Relationship issues

What the PA does
The PA supports young people by listening to them and helping them find more useful ways of dealing with things. The PA tries to help young people to look at what is going on for them, so that they can move forward with their lives and achieve their goals (i.e. Education, Employment or Training).

The PA offers emotional guidance and practical support, which is very different from counselling. The PA signposts young people who want counselling to EYCIS (Ealing Youth, Counselling And Information Service).
