An excellent small, local, history museum with a display of, among other things, carriages, costumes and Victorian kitchens. There are a lake two playgrounds and a mini-golf course. Open daily in the afternoons.
Kew Bridge Steam Museum

The museum is housed in a magnificent steam powered 19th century waterworks, built to supply Londoners with water.
The collection includes working steam, diesel and water powered engines. Other attractions include the waterworks railway and the "Water for Life” Gallery; an interactive exhibition that explores the fascinating story of London's water over the years.

As well as the famous dinosaurs, dragons and blue whale this magnificent museum has a whole range of permanent exhibitions in the Earth and Life galleries about Mammals, Creepy-crawlies, Ecology, British fossils and Story of the Earth. You can feel an earthquake and see a volcano! Activity sheets available and a wide range of events and workshops organised. In the Discovery Centre children over 7 can enjoy hands-on experiences. The museum is open daily 10am – 5.50pm. Closed 24-26 Dec.

The story of innovation and achievement. Exciting collections where you can touch, feel and experience the major scientific advances of the last 500 years. Lots of hands-on and interactive exhibits in the ‘Garden’ designed for 3 – 6 year-olds, the ‘Pattern Pod’ for 5 – 8 year-olds and the ‘Launch Pad’ for all ages.
There is an IMAX cinema within the museum showing 3D films (tickets are available at the cinema or pay as you enter the museum). Open daily 10am – 6pm, closed 24-26 Dec. Disabled access to most galleries, wheelchairs available by prior request.

Formerly the Visitor Centre, the Heathrow Academy re-opened in January 2007. It includes a coffee shop, aviation model shop and
the 'Explore Heathrow's' exhibition. There are great views of the northern runway and airfield. The exhibition will be closed until summer 2008 so that it can be relocated to another area of the building. It will reopen for the summer holidays from 10: 00 to 16:00 at weekends and school holidays.
